    Karyopharm Therapeutics is a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company focused on the discovery and development of novel first in-class drugs directed against nuclear transport targets for the treatment of cancer and other major diseases.


    The Marketing Operations Specialist will oversee and ensure the smooth execution of critical functions in support of the Commercial team, including but not limited to, the promotional review process, materials production, speaker programs, and advisory boards.  The person in this role will help to ensure a timely, cost-conscientious, effective and efficient roll-out of each activity and then seek to improve based on experience.




    • Establish, and then operationalize, a promotional speakers bureau ensuring full compliance with all associated laws, regulations and company policies including Federal and State reporting obligations
    • Actively manage the Karyopharm promotional review process thereby helping to ensure the availability of high-quality, compliant marketing materials in a timely and efficient manner
    • Assume a lead role in the production and management of promotional and training materials post-approval (print and fulfillment)
    • Maintain inventory of materials, maximizing budgets and minimizing waste
    • Help to coordinate internal meetings such as a field advisory board, strategic off-site team meetings etc., effectively partnering with other stakeholders to ensure the success of such events
    • Assist with the planning and execution of external meetings including advisory boards, conferences and conventions                                           
    • Develop budgets and then proactively track program spend against said budgets
    • Manage vendors associated with areas of responsibilities


    • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree a plus
    • 5+ years’ experience in an operations role within the biotech/pharmaceutical industry
    • Prior experience of working in oncology, a plus
    • Exceptional organizational and attention to detail
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
    • Strong customer service ethic with demonstrated ability to interact effectively with both field-based colleagues and external customers
    • Strong understanding of regulations and compliance requirements associated with promotional activities including reporting requirements around HCP-spend
    • Must live within commutable distance to US Corporate Headquarters in Newton, MA
    • Approximately 10% of domestic travel may be required. Travel may be outside of normal working hours and over weekends
