    Karyopharm Therapeutics is a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company focused on the discovery and development of novel first in-class drugs directed against nuclear transport targets for the treatment of cancer and other major diseases.

    Responsibilities

    The Manager will play a critical role in the success of the Commercial Analytics function. She/he will work with the entire commercial, as well as the medical and development teams by proactively engaging in the commercial potential and assessment of Karyopharm’s marketed and pipeline agents through the analysis and interpretation of commercial data obtained through primary and secondary research and available market competitive information.  She/he will help lead the development and refinement and upkeep of best in class landscape and drug assessment reports for the products, diseases, markets of interest to Karyopharm and be responsible for keeping the organization up to date on market evolutions and their implications to the company.

    The individual will also participate in forecasting and data analytics to help support the organization’s performance tracking of its assets in various indications.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Generate and maintain competitive landscape reports for key areas of interest to Karyopharm.
    • Identify new and improved sources of information and data to enrich company’s knowledge.
    • Develop actionable ad-hoc landscape assessments to help guide lifecycle and business development opportunities
    • Help maintain a communication platform to ensure the delivery of appropriate content to various company departments and functions.
    • Update and enhance key performance metrics to measure and monitor brand strategy, market performance, and field execution.
    • Establish effective collaborations with other functional colleagues to ensure alignment across the organization
    • Lead identification, maintenance, and generation of data references/databases for continuously improving oncology epidemiology, across markets and diseases
    • Be able to synthesize findings across multiple projects and sources to develop a clear, precise and actionable presentation
    • Identify market and situation analogs that can be leveraged as case studies to enhance decision making on ongoing projects
    • Maintain and update forecasts for various assets and participate in generation and evolution of assumptions
    • Participate and at times lead primary market research projects

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or other advanced degree, preferred
    • 3 + years forecasting, market research, consulting, finance or business analytics experience within specialty care required. Oncology knowledge strongly preferred
    • Expertise with statistical software, databases and MS Office programs
    • Experience with data analysis and data visualization tools
    • Demonstrated understanding of industry secondary data and syndicated sources
    • Desire to take on new professional roles and responsibilities within the commercial analytics organization
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to collaborate cross functionally with all stakeholders in a small and entrepreneurial team
    • High ethical standards, including demonstrated adherence to all corporate, Compliance, and Regulatory guidelines and procedures
    • Must live a commutable distance to US Corporate Headquarters in Newton, MA or be willing to relocate
    • Less than 10% of domestic travel may be required to attend important meetings. Travel may be outside of normal working hours and over weekends
