Role Overview & Key Functions:

The Director, Clinical Data Analytics, will be a key member of the Data Management and cross-functional project teams on development projects, typically involving the creation of data insights and trending on large, complex data sets.  Core responsibilities include driving and supporting organizational metrics and analytics, clinical trial trend identification, and signal detection.  Duties also include the investigation, development, and inclusion of machine learning and artificial intelligence as a valuable tool in successfully achieving drug development goals.

 

Reporting to our Head of Data Management, you will positively impact patients's lives when you:

  • Oversee the analysis of clinical trial data, genomics, and real-world evidence (RWE) data to derive meaningful insights, identify trends, and support business needs.
  • Assess workload, understand requirements, and provide recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Drive development and management of dashboards/analytics (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, elluminate).
  • Lead engaging and informative presentations to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Working with cross-functional stakeholders, create, augment, or modify current clinical data displays to accommodate study and program specific needs and requests, including tracking data quality, completeness, and trends.
  • Oversee, build, and maintain data pipelines to automate data processing tasks.
  • Develop therapeutic area landscape and benchmark analyses to facilitate discussions on clinical development and commercialization strategies.
  • Generate strategic insights to support study deliverables, program strategy, and organizational objects.

Candidate Profile & Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of experience in medical and biological data analytics.
  • S. or PhD in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related.
  • Strong written verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in managing direct reports.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in developing secure web-based applications.
  • Extensive experience in machine learning and artificial intelligence, applying data science to complex problems.
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated experience in gathering, interpreting and analyzing data in a clinical research and development environment.
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and designing/building high performance data-intensive front-end solutions using a blend of tables and visualizations.
  • Demonstrated skill in the use of one or more analytic software tools or languages (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Ruby, JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
  • Expertise with programming languages such as R, Python, or others.
  • Preferred experience in elluminate
  • Preferred experience with clinical trial data

  • In the U.S., the salary range for this position is $205,000 to $230,000 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factor
