Role Overview & Key Functions:

Karyopharm is looking to hire an energetic, entrepreneurial, and resourceful Executive Assistant to support multiple C level executives. This position will play a key role within the organization as we aim to improve the lives of patients with cancer.  We are seeking a candidate who is highly organized, relentlessly dedicated, and has knack for identifying problems before they happen.

This will be a hybrid working arrangement with the opportunity to work a flexible schedule remotely and onsite. 

  • Support our senior level executives, including heavy calendar management and prioritization, travel, expense reports, vendor management, and any other tasks needed to maximize team productivity.
  • Represent the executive team by email and phone with internal and external stakeholders including investors, Board members, clients, prospects and C-level executives and other partners.
  • As a trusted member of the team, you will be a confidante on all topics relating to strategy, growth, operations, prioritization and feedback. You will be a key stakeholder in both confidential and high-visibility projects across the Leadership Team.
  • Plan leadership team off-sites and team-building events
  • Manage all needs for quarterly board meetings, including agenda, content, speakers, logistics and budget
  • Build cross-functional internal relationships, including partnering closely with other Executive Assistants who support organizational leaders.
  • Act as a key partner on special projects as needed.
  • Represent executives and team with confidentiality, professionalism, kindness, and efficiency.

Candidate Profile & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting senior-level executives is essential. Previous experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical field is required, with a preference for candidates who have supported R&D executives.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing demands with ease.
  • Stellar verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Demonstrated experience in organizing team events and off-sites.
  • Intellectual curiosity paired with a high growth mindset.
  • Strong ability to handle stress and adapt to unexpected situations.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial, and service-oriented personality.
